Kiwifruit

Kiwifruit

In Season: Available in the United States in the winter First grown in China, kiwifruit were once known as Chinese gooseberries. The kiwifruit does belong to the berry family and is grown on flowering vines, much like grapes. This fruit is ready to eat when it is slightly soft to the touch and has a fragrant smell. Did you know you can eat the fuzzy skin on the outside of the kiwifruit? It is very thin and just needs to be rinsed and rubbed lightly to dry. Try cutting the fruit in quarters and enjoy - skin and all! For more information, please visit:
