Boysenberries

Boysenberries

In Season: Ripe for picking in the summer Boysenberries are actually a hybrid made from red raspberries, blackberries, and loganberries. Developed by Walter Knott of California's famous Knott's Berry Farm, this berry is named in honor of Knott's friend Rudolph Boysen. Beloved for their distinctive aroma and juicy, sweet-tart flavor, these dark, delicious berries are great eaten fresh or used to make pies, jam, ice cream, and juice.
