COOKING WITH AN OCEAN VIEW

Two of La Jolla’s hottest chefs are turning up the heat on two upcoming episodes of Bringing It Home with Laura McIntosh™, a reality-based cooking show, which airs on television stations throughout Southern California and Las Vegas.  Mixing up some magic on our traveling kitchen set perched on the water’s edge at the beautiful La Valencia are Executive Chefs Luke Patterson and Stephen Window!  Cool off with us in the waves of the Pacific as we learn how to cook quick, easy and healthy menu items from the city’s trendiest restaurants.

Filming will take place at the picturesque La Valencia Hotel in La Jolla, California, where Chef Luke Patterson heads up the entire kitchen staff.  Joining us bright and early to cook outside in the crisp ocean air is Executive Chef Luke Patterson from the La Valencia Hotel.  Bringing his “secret ingredients” only steps away from the main kitchen at La Valencia, Chef Luke shows off his locale-appropriate, Pacific Rim culinary style with fresh banana dishes, from Vox® Vodka spiked Hawaiian French Toast to a fresh Banana-Coconut Breakfast Parfait, Chef Luke offers some creative items to help us keep our stomachs and spirits light during the hottest months of summer.

Michael Ullman, managing director of La Valencia Hotel, states, “Luke’s passion for varied cuisines and his penchant for Asian foods is the perfect combination for our
hotel’s restaurants, which offer everything from French to Mediterranean to Continental grill-style cuisines. We know that our many local guests and visitors from out of town will appreciate his eclectic background and diverse knowledge.”

Next in the kitchen will be Executive Chef Stephen Window, master of his domain at Rappongi, who will be cooking with a Pacific Rim flair as well, again extremely
appropriate for our ocean-side setting. Chef Stephen is an expert at pairing the sweet tastes of fresh tree fruit with the rich tastes of seafood and Asian spices and his recipes
prove the versatility of such this combination. Preparing Peach Lobster Shu Mai, Tiger Shrimp Skewers with Tomato Horseradish-Nectarine Salsa, and a Mongolian Chicken and
Napa Eggroll with Plum Hot and Sour Sauce, Chef Stephen shows us how to prepare a healthy, nutritious meal with fresh ingredients and exotic, gourmet results.
